Put the proven performance of Garmin® GPS dog tracking technology in your hands with the Astro® 430 and T 5 Dog Tracking System. This high performance system from Garmin allows you to monitor and track the location of up to 20 dogs outfitted with T 5, T5 mini, TT™ 15, TT™ 15 mini and DC™ 50 (tracking only) collar units (sold separately). The T 5 collar unit and Astro 430 unit work together to show you the location, distance traveled, and distance from your unit for each dog up to 9 miles away (4 miles with T 5 Mini).
Built around a glove-friendly 2.6'' color touchscreen, the Astro 430 handheld unit shows the dog's current location that updates every 2.5 seconds and a trail of where he's been on the map page. GPS/GLONASS reception gives you better satellite tracking in challenging environments than GPS alone for results you can trust. Dog Track mode shows a compass view pointing to your dog's location. When tracking multiple dogs, unit shows each dog's precise distance on the map page, with an auto zoom feature that shows all the dogs on the display at the same time. Preloaded with TOPO U.S. 100K maps, the Astro 430 also features a microSD™ card slot so you can load TOPO U.S. 24K (not included) maps for land elevation contours or City Navigator NT® map data (not included) for turn-by-turn routing on roads. The Astro 430 also supports BirdsEye Satellite Imagery (subscription not included).
Sophisticated Hunt Metrics help monitor your dog's hunting patterns and behaviors, showing your dogs' times, distances traveled, and the number of times during the hunt when an "on point" or "treed" event was indicated. The Covey Counter™ feature shows the exact location, time of day, and elevation where you found birds, as well as the number of birds you flushed and took.
T 5 collar unit offers rescue mode, LED beacon lights, and a replaceable 1" collar. Rechargeable Li-ion battery offers 24-48 hours of run time, depending on update rate. Water resistant up to 10 meters.
BaseCamp software (included) allows you to turn your laptop or computer into a Track and Train base station for tracking multiple dogs and/or buddies on a larger screen. Bundle includes: Astro 430 handheld, T 5 dog device with rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 1" orange collar strap, 5" standard and 13" extended range antennas (for Astro 430), 18.5" standard and 22.5" extended range antennas (for T 5), belt clip, charging clip, USB cable, AC adapter, vehicle charging adapter, and manual.
